25-year-old Katrina Gonzalez crosses seven freeways to commute 80 miles away from her home in Stockton to her job as a restaurant manager at a Red Lobster in San Jose. She and her husband moved to Stockton to buy a house after failing to find anything affordable closer to work. She now spends three hours commuting to and from work, and spends $300 per month on gas.
