Biography

Sengsouvanh (Sukey) Leshnick, Director of Strategic Learning and Evaluation at the San Francisco Foundation (SFF), leads the foundation’s internal evaluation and learning efforts. Ms. Leshnick collaborates across the foundation to co-create strategies for ongoing learning and reflection using real-time data, including data from the Bay Area Equity Atlas. As a first-generation Laotian American with a deep passion for social change work, she has focused her career on lifting up best practices to address some of the most pressing challenges facing low-income, communities of color. Prior to SFF, Ms. Leshnick devoted over two decades of her career as a mixed methods researcher and evaluator, having led over 30 research and evaluation projects focused on collective impact, education equity, youth development, workforce development, and juvenile justice policies. She has authored over 60 reports and publications with recommendations to strengthen policies and practices towards more equitable outcomes. When not working, Ms. Leshnick practices yoga and can be found exploring hiking trails throughout the Bay Area.
